Valerie Schuiling

Valerie is an Associate with a focus on impact studies and sustainable finance

As an Associate her expertise lies in understanding the sustainable finance industry and the impact investing space. Valerie is passionate about helping firms to quantify and manage their impact on society and the environment, to be able to work towards a more sustainable future. She is based in Amsterdam.

Before joining Steward Redqueen, Valerie gained experience in risk and asset management at the pensions department at BMW, analysing insurance risk and asset performance. Here she was also part of several sustainability analyses with a particular focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance) regulations, which enabled her to gain a deeper inside into corporate sustainability frameworks and the practical challenges and opportunities in promoting these within organizations. Later on, she studied the impact of sustainability initiatives like the SBTi on firm behaviour.

Valerie holds a MSc degree in Sustainable Finance and Investments from Utrecht University as well as a BSc in Mathematics with a minor in Business Administrations from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She is fluent in English, German and Dutch.
