Steward Redqueen promotes Matthijs de Bruijn to Partner
We are glad to announce that as of January 2023, Matthijs de Bruijn has been promoted to partner of Steward Redqueen. The appointment further confirms his central role in the firm’s work on impact strategy, impact monitoring, and evaluations as well as his leadership role in the team.
Matthijs joined Steward Redqueen as a Consultant in 2012, after previous experiences at international organisations in New York and Brussels. Over the past 11 years, he built a strong track record in developing impact strategies, designing impact management systems, and executing performance evaluations for clients. Particularly in the field of evaluations, Matthijs has been instrumental in expanding Steward Redqueen’s activities and further enhancing the firm’s reputation. His clients include leading multilateral development banks, development financial institutions, climate finance mechanisms, commercial banks, insurance firms as well as non-profits and public actors with a private sector focus.
Wouter Scheepens, Managing Partner and one of our founders, commented: “Matthijs is a true professional and a wonderful colleague. He has grown the evaluation and monitoring business over the last years because he is a well-respected, trusted advisor to many of our clients. We are convinced that as a member of our partnership he will strengthen our market position and that he will be instrumental in taking our firm to a next level. For a boutique consultancy it is key to have a great team that is able to deliver a superb performance. Matthijs makes our management team ever stronger.”
On his promotion, Matthijs said: “I am excited to take this step and join the partnership. I would like to thank the partners as well as the clients I have served for their continued trust. From many of those I received kind messages over the past days, which meant a lot to me. I look forward to further developing and strengthening our firm’s advisory services on impact strategy, monitoring and evaluations, and doing that together with such a strong, talented and fun team of consultants. In a time where global challenges seem to become more pressing and complex by the day, I feel ever so motivated to work together with clients further sharpening their approach in tackling these challenges.”
