Gemma is an Associate with a focus on sustainable finance and impact investing

Gemma is an Associate with expertise in the financial industry and strong interest in sustainable finance and impact investing, specifically in the agricultural sector and gender-lens finance. She is based in Amsterdam.

Gemma’s affinity with the financial sector started at the retail branch of BBVA Spain, where she conducted credit risk management analyses. Next to this, she has gained experience in sustainable lending by working at the Sustainable Finance department of ING Netherlands’ wholesale banking branch. Before joining our team, Gemma used to work as a corporate strategy consultant at Prosegur, a private security company with global reach, where she deepened her knowledge in corporate finance and (de)growth strategies, both organic and inorganic. Given the multinational nature of the company, she has worked closely with corporates from different countries, mostly from Latin America.

Gemma holds a MSc in Sustainable Finance and Investments from the Utrecht University as well as a Double BSc programme in International Studies and Business from the Carlos III University (Madrid). She is fluent in English and Spanish and can speak German at an intermediate level.
