Economic impact study for The Mission Continues
The Mission Continues (TMC) is a nonprofit organization that deploys veteran volunteers to work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more. With the support of The Coca-Cola Company, Steward Redqueen conducted an economic impact study of TMC’s 2023 volunteering events throughout the United States. This analysis helps TMC to better understand its impact on communities across the country.
Using volunteer hours and local “platoon” event budgets, we executed the study using multi-regional input-output modelling. We traced over 500 volunteering events across 47 platoons in all 50 states as well as Washington, DC.
The results provide TMC with valuable quantitative insights that open new possibilities in measuring and communicating the organization’s impact. In speaking about this experience, Bailey King, TMC’s Manager of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, and Heather Pekios, TMC’s Director of Impact, stated:
“Partnering with Steward Redqueen on our economic impact evaluation has been an incredibly meaningful and exciting experience for The Mission Continues. Their rigorous analysis and thoughtful approach have provided us with invaluable insights that have opened a whole new world of possibilities related to measurable program and impact outcomes. This evaluation not only amplifies the depth and credibility of our program assessments but also spotlights opportunities for organizational growth and opens the door to future partnership opportunities by showcasing the tangible value of our work to stakeholders and funders. Furthermore, their findings will significantly enhance our impact messaging, equipping us with compelling data to inspire greater investment in our mission to empower veterans and strengthen communities nationwide. We deeply appreciate Steward Redqueen’s commitment to helping us maximize our impact and expand our reach.”
