Impact reporting for FMO Ventures Program
We developed an Impact Review & Outlook Report for FMO Ventures Program I, detailing its successes, lessons learned and future trajectory.
FMO Ventures Program is an initiative of FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, to empower innovative business models applying disruptive technology to enable or improve affordable access to goods and services to un(der)served communities in Africa and Asia. FMO Ventures Program consists of an early-stage investment mandate and, in parallel, a Technical Assistance Facility (FMO Ventures TAF), with three components: Investee Strengthening, Ecosystem Building, and Community Engagement.
To commemorate the conclusion of FMO Ventures Program I, FMO Ventures Program commissioned Steward Redqueen to develop a report that captures the transformative journey of the FMO Ventures Program to date. The resulting report, titled Impact Review and Outlook of the FMO Ventures Program: Perspectives of a DFI in venture capital provides an overview of key results, stakeholder perspectives, operational lessons learned, investment & TA project case studies, and forward-looking insights. Based on our analysis of FMO Ventures Program I, we further delivered internal recommendations to inform the set-up of FMO Ventures Program II.
For FMO Ventures Program, the report serves as a key external communication piece, while the internal recommendations are a valuable resource to inform internal decision-making and enhance operations.
